 Snooker is a young son of our outstanding young dog Gibson who died before he turned 3. Snooker was sold to Wayne Lucas who was working him on big mobs of sheep(1-2000 were common) out West before changing jobs; he no longer needed him so he came back home. Wayne was impressed by his calmness and mob sense at a young age and suggested early on that it might be worth storing some semen. As a relation of my old trainer and kelpie guru, Arthur Crumblin, I valued Wayne’s opinion knowing he’d seen a lot of young dogs and worked and trained many. Livvy died from snake bite last year, so it was really a no brainer to buy Snooker back.

He’ll be heading off to work again soon, he’s proved a sensible sire to handle and has mated three bitches this year, 2025, Karmala LibbyT, Koonamara Quaint(Speedy) and Karmala Ginny who is owned by the Harris Brothers at Tallwood. Snooker’s a tall dog, a light running dog and a good jumper, six foot fences are no trouble; he also seems to know which ones are hooked up to my solar unit! Below are  few shots I took of his first run here when he first came back, Wayne’s videos are a bit blurry.
