 Karmala Clyde X Riana Quill II

 

Quiz was bought by Tony Parsons as a pup. Tony always liked her sire, Karmala Clyde, and he bred some good pups from Quiz. I bought a dog pup by Paddy’s Shadow from Quiz and gave him to David Hart in lieu of a service fee for Glide. Karrawarra Shadow III, as he was named, didn’t fit into David’s regime of pack feeding, preferring to lie down on top of as much feed as he could cover and eat it all! He eventually was sold to a couple of Victorian studs and was passed in at the Casterton auction for about $9000. He has since sired many pups for Joe Spicer and has been used by others, I believe.

 

I had been anxious to breed a litter from Quiz for some years after losing her litter sister, Qing, and when Tony was dispersing his few remaining kelpies last year he kindly offered her to me. She was well overweight and had six pups to Wilson by C/S, losing three of them including the two bitches. The remaining three boys are nice dogs and the mating has been repeated(April’16).

 

Quiz hasn’t done much work but is a very correct, natural worker with good strength and will bark and push up well in the yards. A daughter by Karra. Coster, Kit, was

exported to Kristen Wosnitza in Germany.

She had a growth in her mouth and was put down this year. Dear old girl.
