Since losing Gibson so young I’m even more aware that outstanding youngsters might not be around for too long. Bearing that in mind Libby was mated on her first heat. I have a lot of confidence in the working ability of the pups we run on after trying them on sheep; the next big test is how they will handle heat and humidity. A calm bitch like Libby should be fine and her early work was so impressive she’s been mated to Glock/Snooker, Jan. ’25. She’s one of those pups that just started balancing up naturally, and she had some time with Greg Kings getting a bit more experience. He sent me some nice video of her working calmly, just doing what was needed. After a couple of weeks with him she learned to shepherd the sheep once they settled and began to graze, the first pup I’ve had do that since my all time favourite BC bitch in the 60s!
